Youngest of six
kids of a chauvinistic father and housewife mother. In her teens, she
was tired of being treated like the baby of the family, and found
living at home rather stifling. As a result she was somewhat
rebellious in her teens as far as guys were concerned, keeping her
parents up when she would stay out later than they told her to.

Roommates with C.J.
and her sister Stephanie. Originally, it was just Stephanie and C.J., but
since Caroline came to live with them after divorcing her husband,
it's more bearable for both C.J. and Stephanie, though more cramped.
Caroline is probably the most comfortable of the three in this living
arrangement, as she is the buffer between the uptight Stephanie and
the free-wheeling C.J., with whom she is close friends. However, the
close arrangements lead to friction when men are involved, since it's
hard to bring someone home when you have two roommates.

Brought up Catholic like her sister.
Though not devout, her idealism and concern for others is fueled by
her religious upbringing.
