Eric Lindros finally puts on Quebec Nordiques jersey for first time

Twenty-six years after being drafted by the Quebec Nordiques, Eric Lindros put on the jersey for the first time.

In a picture we’d thought we’d never see, the Flyers legend donned the red, white, and blue on CBC Radio Canada’s “Tout le monde en parle.” The episode of the Quebec-based talk show will air on Sunday Feb. 12.

Lindros, who was inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2016, famously didn’t sign a contract with Quebec after they drafted him first overall in 1991.

The power forward, who notched 865 points in 760 career NHL games, clarified in 2016 that his refusal to suit up for the Nordiques was based on their owner at the time, Marcel Aubut.

Lindros, whose career was cut short by several concussions, held out for a year before the Nordiques finally dealt him to the Flyers in a multi-player deal which netted them Peter Forsberg.
