Synopsis:

(From TV Guide)
The acclaimed series---NBC's only show this past year to win a prestigious Peabody Award---concludes its freshman season with a taut and emotional episode.

The plot finds Det. Stevens (Donnie Wahlberg) investigating a newborn's disappearance, which coincides with the reopening of a probe into his own baby's death a year earlier. That inquiry hinges on a missing autopsy report that a relentless Internal Affairs detective named Trumper (David Brisbin) is seeking. Stevens denies any wrongdoing and is determined, above all, to shield his wife Kelly (Megan Ward), who attempted suicide after their loss. Michael Hirsch: Matt Craven.

(From NBC)
INTERNAL AFFAIRS SETS THEIR SIGHTS ON DETECTIVE STEVENS -- Searching for evidence against him, Internal Affairs detective Trumper (guest star Dave Brisbin) reopens the investigation into the death of detective Steven’s (Donnie Wahlberg) baby daughter. Hoping to tear down the detective, Trumper enlists the help of officer Tom Turcotte (Jason Gedrick) as an informant, preying on Tom's desire to rise in rank. Elsewhere, officer Hechler (Gary Basaraba) searches for a pregnant woman’s newborn child, kidnapped after she was attacked, and D.D.A. McNorris (Neal McDonough) makes a dramatic life choice. Lana Parrilla and Nina Garbiras also star.
